Coronavirus Information

Fire Chief Edward Kneisler, III stated regarding the Bergenfield Fire Department’s response to any emergency call during the Coronavirus pandemic, he would like the following information made clear to the public and all the readers of this web site.
If any resident or business owner smells smoke, sees a fire, has an activation of their smoke or carbon monoxide alarm, smells gas, or needs the fire department for any reason, they are to immediately dial 9-1-1. ┬áDon’t be afraid to call – YES, the fire department will respond to your call for help 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. ┬áThe members are being vaccinated and will continue to take the necessary precautions needed to protect themselves as well as the general public.
The Chief asks if anyone in the home is feeling ill for any reason, or someone in the home has recently been diagnosed with the Coronavirus, to please let the first responders know immediately so proper precautions can be taken to keep our firefighters safe.
