Ladder On Mutual Aid Run To Bogota

Posted on December 13, 2008

At 2240 Mid-Bergen Mutual Aid requested a ladder truck to respond to Bogota for a working house fire.  Truck 742 under the command of Captain Lopez and a split crew of Alert and Prospect members along with Deputy Chief Kneisler (DC2) responded on the run.  Upon their arrival at 476 River Road, command requested the crew come to the front of the structure with hooks and hand tools.  Captain M. Lopez and Firefighter E. Kneisler III were sent to the basement to secure the utilities, and then relieve Teaneck’s crew.  Firefighters Olivio, N. Naylis, S. Naylis, and D. Tedesco were sent to the second floor to relieve Ridgefield Park Truck 2.  Both crews eventually met on the second floor alpha-bravo room opening up the walls and ceiling checking for hot spots.  Upon completing their task they were relieved by an additional Bogota crew.  The Truck and the Deputy were back in quarters by 0015.
