Just after 1800hrs the members of Alert Fire Company were dispatched to 384 South Washington Ave. for a car versus bus accident.  Chief Gomez (740), Engine 744 under the command of Captain Lopez, and Truck 742 under the command of Lieutenant Saito responded on the run.  Upon arrival, 740 instructed the Engine crew to assist the members of the Bergenfield Volunteer Ambulance Corps. with removing the driver of the car as well as stabilizing the vehicle which struck the building.  The Truck crew was tasked with assessing the damage to the building and disconnecting the car battery.  B.V.A.C. Ambulances 1 and 2 transported a total of four victims to local hospitals for treatment.  Once the vehicle was removed from the building, the damaged area was taped off and units were released.
