Reported Possible Apartment Fire

Posted on October 5, 2008

As units were wrapping up on Bradley, dispatch sounded another general alarm for a smoke condition in an apartment at 178 Howard Drive.  Units responded to that call and Captain Lodato was first on scene of a two story garden apartment complex.  Captain Lodato reported no one home and an odor present.  Units forced entry and found another unattended cooking situation with no fire.  DC Kniesler arrived on scene and assumed command.

While units operated on Howard Drive, Engine 744 and Ladder 748 responded to 62 Rector Court for activated alarms.  For the third time in under an hour food on the stove was to blame for the activation.
