At 0254 Hrs, the Bergenfield Fire Department was dispatched on a reported house fire.   Deputy Chief Kniesler (DC2) was first on scene and called for a working fire in a detached two car garage. Ladder 742 and Engine 745 arrived on scene and immediately went to work.  Members of the ladder and THE Rescue forced their way into the garage, but the fire was out.  The garage was so well insulated that the fire lost oxygen and self extinguished itself.  The engine crew moved in a made sure there were no pockets of remaining fire. 

  Deputy Chief Byrnes assumed command shortly after is arrival.  A FAST team from New Milford was activated, but returned prior to their arrival.  The Bergenfield Fire Official was on scene and was investigating the fire.  At this time it is still under investigation.
