At 1040 a day still was sounded for a vehicle into a house on Norfolk Street. Engine 744 under the command of Lt. Kirsch along with Rescue 746 responded on the run. Upon arrival, units located a vehicle that crashed through the back wall of the garage, went into a rear room and was half way through back of the house. Members cleared a large amount of debris, secured both the utilities and the vehicle, as well as checked the structural stability of the building. The vehicle was successfully removed from the structure with out any shoring operations. BFD units were released by the Building Inspector and back in service in about an hour. |
