Truck Assists BVAC
|
At approximately 1240hrs, the Alert Fire Company was dispatched on a still alarm requesting the ladder truck to respond to West Broad Street to assist the ambulance corps. Ladder 742 under the command of Portable 4 Captain Lopez responded to the scene and found an injured male on the second floor of the structure. Due to the spiral stair case to the second floor, removal of the individual was rather awkward warranting the assistance call. Between the members of the B.V.A.C. and the Alert Company members with the use of the ambulance corps Reeves tool they were able to safely remove the person. Captain Lopez and Firefighter Beyea then accompanied the ambulance to Hackensack University Medical Center to assist escorting the injured party into the emergency room. The Truck was back in quarters by 1330 while the Captain and firefighter were back in town after 1415hrs. |
