Elevator Emergency

Posted on September 22, 2007

At approximately 10:20 the members of Alert Fire Company #1 were requested to 293 Murry Hill Terrace for an elevator emergency.  Chief Polandick (740) arrived first and advised engine 744 that there were two occupants in the elevator stuck between the 3rd and 4th floors.  Upon arrival of the engine, Captain Kneisler took half his crew to the roof to secure the electric while the other half of the crew went to the third floor.  Once the electric was shut down to the unit, members assisted the two parties from the elevator.  All units cleared the scene a short time later.
