B.C.F.A. Graduation Ceremony

| On Friday night the Bergen County Fire Academy held a graduation ceremony at Ramapo College in Mahwah, New Jersey. The ceremony was for firefighters who successfully completed and passed Firefighter I from across Bergen, Essex, Hudson, and Passaic counties. The families of the graduates were in attendance as well as several county officials. Bergenfield had several members successfully complete the program: from Alert Fire Co. #1-Edward J. Kneisler III and Andres Nunez; from Fire Co. #2-Crystal Putney; and from Prospect Fire Co. #1-David Tedesco. Firefighters Putney and Tedesco were unable to attend, but were acknowledged for completing the course. The presenter for Bergenfield was Captain Edward J. Kneisler II, who along with his father Edward J. Kneisler Jr., presented Edward J. Kneisler III and Andres Nunez their certificates. It was a special moment for the Kneislers as all three generations of firefighters were on the stage showing their family's dedicated service to the Borough of Bergenfield. Congratulations to all. |
